about the project

A Home for Harmony is a musical play created for young children produced by People's Theatre Collective. Featuring an endearing tale written by Renata Allen and complemented by Joshua Baldwin's original music.

Collaborating with Dogs for Good, The Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire Library Service, and Home-Start, this production caters to diverse community venues, including libraries, schools, and a shopping centre unit, offering accessibility to diverse families.

Focused on a heart-warming animal story, A Home for Harmony explores themes of emotional resilience and confidence-building through social play. The show promises an inclusive experience, with accessible elements for audiences with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including sensory and musical components, Makaton sign, and non-verbal storytelling.

Over Summer 2024, we toured A Home for Harmony across Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire - sharing the story of Bouncer the assistance dog with thousands of people. We produced a free illustrated resource to distribute to audiences and libraries exploring the emotional subject of the play.
